SHAREPOINT ADMINISTRATOR

Details

We are a building enclosure consulting firm that provides a robust IT infrastructure for both internal and client use. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working with SharePoint 2010, some exposure to SharePoint 2013, knowledge of Active Directory management, and the ability to troubleshoot general Windows platform issues.  This person will be responsible for monitoring our internal and client portal, interacting with clients to ensure consistent user experience, and handling multiple tasks provided by management.  This individual will also create documentation for SharePoint systems and will be responsible for customization of page layouts, setting up sites for new clients, and learning to create and manage actions using 3rd party tools.  This is a great opportunity for someone looking to own the expanding SharePoint environment and learn how to make SharePoint operate like a relational database system.

 

Required Skills

 

·        3+ years of experience

·        SharePoint 2010 + Basics of SP 2013

·        High MS Office proficiency

·        Strong organization and workflow experience

·        Intermediate Windows Networking skills                         

·        Great communication skills

·        Software Development Background (Plus)

·        Able to troubleshoot SharePoint performance and end user issues

·        Familiar with Business Connectivity Services, Web Content Management and Records Management

·        Visual Studio experience a plus

·        ASP.NET, C# Sharp experience a plus

·        Familiarity with third-party SharePoint migration and governance toolsets a plus

·        Able to work in a varied, fast paced environment

·        Requires excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills

·        Requires strong attention to detail

·        Provide technical guidance to the client

·        Maintain and administer SharePoint, including daily monitoring, troubleshooting and performance analysis

·        Participate in planning and execution of tasks related to SharePoint applications.

·        Perform typical system administrative activities such as site creation, backup, restore and issue resolution

 

Role

 

SharePoint Administrator:   The SharePoint Administrator manages all aspects of SharePoint for both internal use and client use.  Tasks include design, architecture, availability, reliability, performance, monitoring and security.  This position plays an integral part in the development of strategies for optimal use of SharePoint and other collaborative tools within the organization.  The Administrator must be able to effectively communicate and promote SharePoint value to the entire organization and work with little supervision in a highly charged and fast paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Oversee SharePoint environments, user access, and application deployment taking a leading role in implementing SharePoint. Support the installation, configuration, security, operation, and maintenance of all internal/external SharePoint environments, equipment, and software related to SharePoint infrastructure.   Participates in planning and execution of tasks related to the evaluation of new SharePoint based initiatives (upgraded versions, on premise and cloud based, third-party solutions, and integration with global ERP business system).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:   Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science) or equivalent work experience | 3+ years of experience working with SharePoint Platform (with recent experience using SharePoint 2007, 2010, and 2013, and/or Office 365 SharePoint in an administrative capacity | Expertise and experience with complex technical activities | Excellent written and oral communication skills | Strong interpersonal skills in a team-based development environment | Strong understanding of MS SharePoint Architecture for both on premise and cloud | Demonstrated knowledge of supporting SharePoint plug in applications such as CRM and/or other functional areas of the business | Demonstrated knowledge of integrating documents stored in SharePoint libraries and linked or embedded into the ERP systems | Development experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.NET is a plus, Microsoft SQL Server, Workflow |Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle methods | Knowledge of personal computers, including a strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite and Office 365 applications.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Work is performed primarily in an office environment
Requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours and ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, to permit the employee to function in a general office environment and accomplish tasks
